
From Setup menu, selectSuppliers.
Or, click the Suppliers
icon on the Setup toolbar.
Select the supplier using the Suppliers Toolbar.
Click the Branch Offices tab.
Click the New Branch
button in the lower right corner, and the Supplier Branch Office Details dialog opens. The fields in the individual tabs are described in the next section.
When finished inserting all information in each tabs, click OK.
When finished with all tabs, click Save in the toolbar.
Or, click Cancel.

Branch Name: Type the name of the branch in this field.
Area: Click the drop-down arrow and select the area.

Each branch office must be assigned to a specific area. The user will not be allowed to save the new branch office until the area is selected. The Branch Office information will apply to purchasing activities that have been assigned to this supplier in this area in the Purchasing Activities screen. |
Name on Purchase Order: Type the name exactly as it should appear on all purchase orders issued to the branch office.
Branch Address: Type the exact address the purchase orders will be sent to. Type the City, Post Code, and Phone information specific to this branch office in the appropriate fields. Click the drop-down arrow in the State and Country fields and select the appropriate entry from the list.
Fax: Type the fax number specific for this branch office in this field. Purchase orders will be faxed to this number if the document delivery mode is set to fax.
Branch e-mail address: Type the e-mail address specific for this branch office in this field. Purchase orders will be sent to this e-mail address if the document delivery mode is set to e-mail.
Document delivery mode: Click the drop-down menu and select the method of delivery for purchase orders. This method will apply only to this branch office, not the corporate office set up in the main Suppliers Setup screen.
Supplier Tax Exempt This Branch: Click theSupplier Tax Exempt checkbox when this setting applies only to the current branch office. Taxes will not be calculated on purchase orders sent to this branch office. The Exempt checkbox will automatically be checked on the Branch Office tab. When it is left blank, taxes will be calculated on purchase orders based on the tax group selected in the next field.
Branch Tax Group: Click the drop-down menu and select the tax group that will apply to purchase orders specifically sent to this branch office.
Enter the information for Contact 1, 2, and/or 3 at this branch office. See the topic, Supplier Contacts 1/2/3 for additional information on each field.
Produce EDI Orders This Branch: Click the checkbox if this branch office uses Electronic Data interchange (EDI) to exchange business information with its trade partners. See Suppliers EDI for additional information. When it is left blank, this branch office is not using Electronic Data interchange.

Warranty Contact Information (only for builders integrating with Warranty Management): Fill out this tab if the Warranty contact for the supplier branch differs from the contact for the supplier.
