Adjusting Columns in the Purchasing Activities Grid

 

To show or hide columns:

  1. To view the Show/Hide Columns window, click on Purchasing Activities, and select Show/Hide Columns from the drop-down menu.

  • Or, click on the Show/Hide Columns icon in the Purchasing Activities toolbar.

    The following window displays in the left side of the Purchasing Activities screen.

  1. To hide a column from view in the Purchasing Activities screen, click the checkbox next to the column heading, and leave the checkbox blank.

  2. To return a column to view in the Purchasing Activities screen, click on the checkbox, and leave it checked.

  3. To hide the Show/Hide Columns window and expand the Purchasing Activities screen, click on the  Show/Hide Columns  icon again.

    • Each time the icon is selected, the Show/Hide Columns window opens or closes.

 

Non-Scrolling Region

This is the area that is located on the left of the black solid line that divides the Purchasing Activities grid. The fields in this area don't move and can always be viewed when working within this screen. The fields that are placed to the right of the grid will move in and out of sight as needed by using the arrow keys found at the bottom of the screen. The user can choose what fields are in each area by moving the columns.  

 

Moving Columns

The user can move the columns to a different order within the screen. Click in the heading field of the column to be moved and drag it to the new position. Two green arrows will appear (above and below the heading fields) as the mouse is moved over the spreadsheet. The column that is being moved will be placed at the point the two green arrows are marking between columns at the time the user drops the column. All columns, left or right of the black line that divides the grid can be moved to any order that works best for the user.

 

Resizing Columns

The user can resize any column by placing the cursor between two heading fields. When the double arrow symbol appears, use the left mouse button to drag the symbol left or right depending on which way the column needs to be adjusted. This allows more or less text space.
