
The Custom Descriptions screen allows the user to customize the description of a field. The field names that start with 'WMS' are for custom descriptions found only in WMS, and do not exist in Sage Timberline® Accounting.
From the Setup menu, select Custom Descriptions.
Or, click on the Custom Descriptions
icon on the Setup toolbar.
The following screen will display on the right side of the WMS desktop:

AP - Fields beginning with AP are Sage Timberline Accounting Accounts Payable fields. fields are not applicable if the client is not integrating with Sage Timberline Accounting.
AR - Fields beginning with AR are Sage Timberline Accounting Accounts Receivable fields. These fields are not applicable if the client is not integrating with Sage Timberline Accounting.
EQ - Fields beginning with EQ are Sage Timberline Accounting Equipment fields. These fields are not applicable if the client is not integrating with Sage Timberline Accounting.
JC - Fields beginning with JC are Sage Timberline Accounting Job Cost fields. These fields are not applicable if the client is not integrating with Sage Timberline Accounting.
WMS - Fields beginning with WMS are only found in the WMS database and do not exist in Sage Timberline Accounting. These fields may be customized by clients that are using the Scheduling module on a stand-alone basis.
This is the standard description within the software that will display on screens and reports if the Custom Description field is left blank.
User-defined field. If a Custom Description is assigned, the Custom Description will display on screens and reports instead of the standard software defined description.
There are 16 fields that can be customized specifically for job information. The Field Types are WMS_UserField01 through WMS_UserField16. These fields display on the Job Classification tab in theJob Setup screen as shown below. Data may be entered in these fields in the Job Setup screen.

Click in the Custom Description column for the appropriate field.
Type the user-defined description name in the field.
Click OK to save all changes.
Throughout all software screens and reports, the field will now be identified by the assigned custom description.
