Effective Date

 

In the Cost Management screen, as users Add an Item Cost or Edit an Item Cost, the item's effective date is editable. Users select from one Effective Date option, either Current Cost,Next Cost, or Future Cost.

 

Current Cost

If selected, the cost updates the item with the present date as the effective date.

 

 

Next Cost

The cost updates in the next cost field for the item. If Next Cost is selected, the date field displays.  

To set the next cost effective date:

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow in the date field, and a drop-down calendar appears.

  2. Click on the correct effective date in the drop-down calendar. Costs take effect from 12:01 A.M. on the selected date.

 

Future Cost

The cost will be updated in the future cost field for the item. IfFuture Cost is selected, the date field will display.  

 

To set the future cost effective date:

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow in the date field, and a drop-down calendar appears.

  2. Select the effective date in the drop-down calendar. Costs take effect from 12:01 A.M. on the selected date.
