The settings in this screen determine where the help files that are created within WMS will reside, and which the job master document folders.
From the Setup menu, select Company.
Or, click the Company icon within the Setup toolbar.
Click the Folder Settings icon within the vertical list of icons on the left.

To set a different path for the help file location, click the
Select Directory icon for the Help File Location field. From the Select Directory screen, browse to the correct folder. Double-click the folder name and click OK.
Help File Location- This field shows the path to a central location for the help files contained within WMS. These files are accessed by all workstations when help is selected from the workstation Help menu.
To set the location of the master document attachment folder, click the
Select Directory icon for the Master Document Attachments Folder field.
Master Document Attachments Folder - This field shows the path to the directory that is designated as the master folder for all documents that are attached to all of the client's jobs. This path should normally be set to a directory that is on the client's server. Individual folders are created for each job within the master folder, and may be created using one of two naming conventions.
|
Note |
|
Folders should normally be set to a directory on the client's network, such as T:\BuilderMT\PMWinstall\Help, or T:\BuilderMT\ProductionData\DocumentAttachments, and are usually set up automatically during the installation of the software. |
Under the heading Create Job Folder Using Master Document Attachments Folder and:, click Job Number or Supervisor Name\Job Number to select the naming convention for the individual folders designated to contain the documents attached to each job.
|
Note |
|
Selecting which naming convention to be used should be thought through carefully, and the option selected should not be changed at a later time. Once the directories are created under one naming convention, changing the option will create a new directory for each job under the new naming convention. In this case, documents could conceivably be placed in two separate directories for each job, and the original folder will not be automatically accessed in the Setup > Jobs screen. |
Click on Save to save any changes.
Continue with setting up the e-mail preferences for the company, or click the Close
