The Sales Center B1440 tab appears if Builder1440 is selected as the sales center under Setup > Company > Sales Center Integration. This tab allows the user to configure the format of the description sent to the sales center that will populate the sales center's two description fields, one at the division level (referred to as the short description) and one at the community level (referred to as the extended description).
The short description in Builder1440 at the division level will populate with the first 255 characters of the text in the Long Description field in the Sales Pricing module Master Models/Options screen.
The long description in Builder1440 at the division level will be blank if the text in the Long Description field in the Sales Pricing module Master Models/Options screen is less than or equal to 255 characters. (This avoids having the exact same short and long descriptions in Builder1440.)
If the text in the Long Description field in the Sales Pricing module Master Models/Options screen is longer than 255 characters, the long description in Builder1440 at the division level will contain the Long Description field text from the Sales Pricing module. (Which can be populated from the PE Assembly Notes field from Timberline, based on the setting under Sales Center Data Options on the first tab.)

The long description in Builder1440 at the community level will contain any description that has been manually entered in the Sales Pricing module in the Extended Description field of the Models/Options by Community screen.
The short description in Builder1440 at the division level will contain the Description field content in the Sales Pricing module in the Models/Options by Community screen.
The long description in Builder1440 at the division level will be the first 1024 characters in the Long Description field from the Sales Pricing module.

The extended description in Builder1440 at the community level will contain any description that has been manually entered in the Sales Pricing module at the Models/Options by Community level.
From the Setup menu, select Divisions.
Or, click on the Divisions icon within the Setup toolbar.
Verify the division currently selected in the Division field is the correct division for which the sales center integration settings for the division will be defined. If necessary, select a different division from the Division drop-down menu.
Click the 
Sales Center Integration icon within the vertical list of icons on the left.
Click the Sales Center B1440 tab.
Decide whether to select Send Option Long Descriptions.
If the checkbox is checked, the option will be active.
If the checkbox is left blank, the option will be turned off.
Click Save at the bottom of the screen to save any changes.
Continue to the purchasing division setup and configure as necessary, or click the Close 
button to exit the screen.
