
The privileges are organized as follows:
Main Menu category or Module (i.e. Desktop, Setup, Purchasing, Scheduling, Tools): This level is identified by the
Folder icon. If security is assigned at this level, all option and task privileges contained in the menu/module will automatically be assigned to the user.
Menu/Module Options (i.e. Milestones, Templates): This level is identified by the
Option icon. If security is assigned at this level, all task privileges contained within the menu/module option will automatically be assigned to the user.
Tasks (i.e. Access to Templates, Create Templates, Delete Templates): This level is identified by the
Task icon. A task is the lowest privilege level, and each task will need to be assigned individually.
Expand the All Privileges folder to view main menu/module folders. Expand menu/module folders to view options. Expand menu/module options to view tasks.

From the Setup menu, select Security Manager.
Or, click the
Security Manager icon on the Setup toolbar.
Click the blueUsers tab in the upper left corner of the screen. The list of existing users will display in the left pane of the screen.
To add privileges to an existing user, click on the User ID in the left pane.
Click the Privileges tab on the bottom of the screen.

To assign all privileges in the system to the user, click the All Privileges checkbox.

The SYSADMIN has privileges to everything in Security Manager. As a result, privileges cannot be edited for the SYSADMIN. |
To assign all option and task privileges contained in a menu/module to a user, click the associated checkbox at the
Folder level.
To assign all task privileges contained in a Menu/Module Option to a user, click the associated checkbox at the
Option level.
To assign an individual task to a user, click the associated checkbox at the
Task level.
After all appropriate groups, privileges, and reports have been assigned to a specific user ID, continue adding and changing users, or save the completed user.
When finished, click the Save button.
Click the
Exit icon in the upper right corner to exit the application.
