Option types are an additional classification and sorting method that can be used to distinguish different groups of options. Option types are often designated as Design Center and Sales Center. Some builders may set up option types as Kitchen, 3-car garage, or Master Bedroom. Each option is assigned an option type in the Master Models/Options screen. It is advised to set up option types, then do not delete or remove them, since the types are sent and used in the sales center software (if the company integrates WMS with one).
From the Sales Pricing menu select Option Types, or click on the 
icon in the Sales Pricing toolbar.
From the Option Types menu, select New Option Type, or click on the 
New Option Type icon in the toolbar.
The Option Type screen displays.
Enter the option type Code (up to 10 Alpha-numeric characters).
Enter the Description for the option.
Click the OK button at the bottom of the screen.
Click the 
Save button to save changes, or click the 
Cancel button to cancel changes.
To edit an existing option type, double-click on the Option Type to be modified. Be cautious about changing the option types, as the types are also used in the sales center software if the company integrates WMS with one.
Click in the Code or Description field and make the desired changes, then click the OK button. Changes are automatically pushed to the Master Model/Options screen and the Models/Options by Community screen.
Click the Save button to save changes, or click to cancel the changes.
Click the 
Refresh Data icon to update all changes made to the Option Types database.
Click on the Option Type to be deleted. (It is not recommended to delete types that are in use, especially if that type has been set up in the sales center software.)
From the Option Types menu, select Delete Selected Option Types.
Or, click on the 
Delete Selected Option Types icon in the toolbar.
Click Yes in the confirmation screen, or click No to cancel.
