The Supplier Lookup table allows the user to select suppliers from a central location. The selected supplier at any point in time affects and changes the information displayed for all open applications that require a supplier. The Supplier Lookup table provides the user with a quick way to switch between suppliers or look up supplier information.
Click on the Suppliers drop-down menu on the Suppliers toolbar.
The Lookup Table displays.
Type the supplier's name in the Supplier field at the top of the lookup list. As the name is entered, the screen scrolls to the supplier that matches the typed name.
To locate supplier information without a name, click the header of the column by which to search. The Locate Field Value dialog box displays.
Type the text to search for in the Field Value field.
To customize the search, click one of the Search Type options listed in the screen above.
Click First at the bottom of the screen. The Supplier Lookup table will scroll to the first item that matches the text entered.
Click Next to continue searching for more matches. If the search runs through the entire database without finding a match, a prompt appears to indicate the completion of the search. ClickOK.
To exit the Locate Field Value screen, click Cancel.
Double-click on the supplier name in the Supplier Lookup table.
OR, highlight the supplier name and click OK at the bottom of the Supplier Lookup table.
Once a supplier is selected, the supplier name will remain displayed on the screen in the Supplier toolbar. All information displayed for all open applications that require a supplier will now relate to the selected supplier. Any changes that are made within an application will affect the selected supplier.
