Introduction to the BuilderMT Warranty Module

BuilderMT's Warranty Management application, powered by Corrigo™, is a web-based service management system that allows all facets of an organization, such as customers, service managers, construction workers and subcontractors, to create, track and execute service order requests from the office or field.

Beginning in WMS version 4.6, company, division, area, job, and supplier data from WMS will integrate with the web-based BuilderMT Warranty Management application, powered by Corrigo™ (referred to as "BMT Warranty"). The integration with BMT Warranty operates behind the scenes through a web service hosted in the Bmt.Net Enterprise Administration application.

Click here to access an Excel spreadsheet that illustrates the data mapping between WMS and BMT Warranty. For mapping questions, please submit a ticket to BMT Support Services.

For a successful setup for integration between the two systems:

  1. A Warranty account must be created by Corrigo, and configured.

  2. The Warranty license in WMS must be active, otherwise the Warranty menu in WMS will not appear. (Check the WMS Help > Product Registration menu option to ensure a Warranty Integration license has been granted. Once a license is purchased, click on the Update link on the left.)

  3. Enable Warranty users in Security Manager. (Warranty users are created in WMS then sent to Warranty.)

  4. Complete Warranty settings at the Company level, and if desired, at the division and the area level.

  5. Make sure the company's enterprise name is set up in the Setup > Company > BMT .NET screen.

  6. Enable suppliers and complete the Warranty information in the Supplier Setup screen.

  7. Map specialties to purchasing activities.

  8. Perform a Send to Warranty in WMS.

  9. Log in go the Bmt.Net Enterprise Administration application, and set up the interval at which the default suppliers from WMS will update the default suppliers set on work orders in BMT Warranty. See the topic Update Default Supplier on Workorders for more information.

NOTE

BuilderMT published a Warranty integration web service that is used to communicate between WMS and BMT Warranty. By default, this service should function automatically if the Bmt.Net Enterprise Administration application, which hosts the service, is registered. To check, on the server, go to Programs > BuilderMT > BmtNet > BmtNet Enterprise Administration. Click on the Service Configuration tab and verify the screen displays "Valid Registration." If it does not, Warranty integration will not be available. Consult the BmtNet Enterprise Administration application help file "Troubleshooting" section for further instruction.

Frequency at which Information is Updated in BMT Warranty

Since all synchronization of data between WMS and BMT Warranty occurs via the Bmt.Net Enterprise Administration application, the frequency of how often updates will show up in BMT Warranty is dependent upon the process scheduler interval. By default, the interval is set to ten minutes. If necessary, change the interval to meet your company's needs. For more information on the process scheduler interval, see the Bmt.Net Enterprise Administration application help file.

The default supplier update can be set to execute at a different interval as needed, too, as mentioned in step 9 above.
