TRADE PORTAL
The Trade Portal is a web-based application that gives homebuilders flexible, interactive, real-time communications with their trades about trade-specific information like bid requests and quotations, schedules, payments, purchase orders and notifications. Whenever a change is made in WMS, it is instantly communicated to the trades without the need to send e-mails, make phone calls, or perform downloads to wireless devices.

From the Trade's perspective, vital information is available in real-time from builders using just one easy-to-use, secure web site.

Greatly reducing the inherent expense of lost voice messages, faxes, E-mails, and other types of miscommunication with builders, Trade Portal gives builders superior communication with their construction trades.

Trade Portal provides the following features through an easy-to-use trade dashboard:

  • In the Payments Menu, display payment data by issue date or check number

  • Trade Contractor or Supplier can review all bid details from the builder
  • Ability to enter in Bid Items and Submit Bid back to WMS Bid Management Dashboard
  • Ability to receive documents, plans, drawings, specifications via the Document attachments tab
  • Ability to ask questions and receive answers between the Trade and the builder in the Question and Answer tab
  • Ability to see rebid or deny bid information

  • View schedules by projected, scheduled and completed dates

  • Displays checks issued in Sage Timberline® and Explorer Contract Manager Accounting

SUPERINTENDENT PORTAL

In today's residential building industry, a couple key elements played a role in BuilderMT creating its Superintendent Portal. First the downturn in the housing market has lowered the amount of staff a homebuilder employs to manage home construction projects, and in many cases owners and executives are now back in the field. Secondly, technology available today, such as higher-speed data networks and revolutionary devices such as the Droid, iPhone and iPad, has brought the office to the field. The ability for homebuilders to manage hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars of inventory and assets is now available with BuilderMT's Superintendent Portal.

BuilderMT set out with these goals in mind:
1. Provide additional functionality in WMS to further meet the needs of builder customers using WMS Purchasing and Scheduling
2. Allow superintendents to manage various aspects of their daily tasks via the web similar to BuilderMT's Trade Portal, but specificallyaimed at superintendent activities.

BuilderMT has discovered that the Superintendent Portal can be used by anyone within the homebuilding company who needs access to job information via a larger display browser-based device. Project Managers,
Executives and Owners have access to all project information across all of their field staff, by establishing thehierarchical order within the homebuilding organization.
